3 Easy Ways to Boost Energy!

So, let’s dive in to some easy, uncomplicated ways we can make a difference in our day-to-day to benefit our energy.

ONE: Optimize your sleep environment.
-The experiment: redesign your sleep area so it is less cluttered and less “busy” visually. This helps the mind to relax at night instead of bouncing around to all of the things you might have waiting for you on our “to-do” list. We all know sleep is the first component of having good energy during the day, but bright colors, lots of decor and screens in our bedroom can actually prevent us from getting appropriate amounts of deep and REM sleep, which causes us to feel more tired and/or easily distracted during the day.

TWO: Look at your social group.
-The experiment: Do an attachment inventory. Make a list of the people in your life. For each relationship, consider how strong, safe, secure or supportive the attachment connection is. Are you spending too much emotional energy on those who aren’t supporting you in the same way? How can you better spread your social energy so you have the mental space and capacity to achieve what you need to do in your day!

THREE: Give back… Wisely.
-The experiment: Create your own personal mission statement… and then live by it! Focus in on the things that mean the most to you, and take one active step each week to work towards living in your best truth. We’re looking to gain energy rather than drain it, carefully choose a service and care you offer, and care for yourself, too. Look for options that bring you and others joy and comfort, but don’t run you down.

These steps will help you to manage stress, build resilience, and optimize sleep and recovery, which can be deeply transformative for how you live your life!
